  • Volunteer Positions - (VPs) this description encompasses the type of positions that will be part of the Proprietorship’s long-term mentoring program, which will be managed overall by the Program Administrator, who can be considered a “hero” of sorts for her willingness to take on this demanding role in a world where dictatorial types “rule” the day and lives of others by taking on the role of determining outcomes for the unsuspecting, such as occurred in the life of my late dear friend (Carol to whom the Conservery Blog is Dedicated in part), as referenced in the post THE ACQUAINTANCE WHOSE FRIENDSHIP WAS UNEXPECTEDLY CONSISTENT - EDITED W/INSERTS). In this program students with promise, selected (based in part on staff members recommendations) as well as special needs individuals gain valuable work experience and be hired in various aspects of the business operation as appropriate, on a carefully limited rotating basis (in order to avoid impacting on the participants normal student course work load), while simultaneously working towards graduation; in the hope that the practical experience gained will be counted towards their overall requirements, whether at the high school or post high school level. It is expected that the program will be long-term in order to provide the individuals with a well-balanced background in preparation for entry into the workforce and as such the positions selected from among the overall staff envisioned are shown in the organizational chart as reflected by the (VP) description. Additional details about the Special Needs mentoring programs can be found in the post THE STUDENTS WITH PROMISE MENTORING VERSUS THE SPECIAL NEEDS INDIVIDUALS PROGRAMS.
